’Listen to the world around us, to the subtle language of sound, to the language of the birds, the flow of the grain in the peace of wood you are carving, to the tell tale silence of the crickets as someone creeps through the grass. It’s about listening to our hearts, and the call of the wild.‘ Holland. C, I Love my World, Wholeland Press, Otterton, 2009

Wildwanderers is one of the most unique forest school sites in Devon, offering a great outdoor experience for children and adults alike based on the forest school ethos.
The beautiful parachute sail shelters us from the elements and the fire keeps us warm even on the coldest wettest day.
The site has been built with the help of scouts and volunteers. All the benches and Fire pit boarders come from one tree that was felled to create the clearing.
Its great to sit around the fire in all seasons, chat, eat and embrace the wilderness.
We cater for all needs from School educational days, specialised nights away and holiday camps for schools, Mental Health days for specific needs, Team building days, Kids parties, Private Functions.
The team leader can visit schools and build a Forest School site. A great way to involve teachers and children and add a new learning environment for everyone.
We also visit schools to share the Foerset School ethos.
All session are led by a trained practitioner and staff are DBS checked and have First Aid certificates. Staffing ratio is 1:8 unless more is required for individual needs.
